I have vacationed in Florida many times over the years and stayed in condos, hotels and resorts. So I wonder if condos short for condominiums are popular in retirement communities like The Villages.

Do The Villages in Florida have condos? The Villages in Florida technically do have condos. The Villas of Spanish Springs are condominiums according to First Amended And Restated Declaration Of Condominium Of Villas Of Spanish Springs, A Condominium The Villages, Florida.

This document above is found in the Declaration of Restrictions for Lake County.

A condominium is a large property complex divided into individual units. They often share at least one wall and are sold as separate units and have a Home Owner Association Fee (HOA). On the grounds of a condominium complex there are common areas where everyone can use. For example a pool, picnic area, tennis court, jacuzzi etc. They are very similar to an apartment but are owned not rented.

This is the difference between a condo and villa. A condo has an independent condominium association fees to take care of the buildings. Villa fees are for the amenities. The same as home and townhouses, but are attached villas.

In a retirement community as big as the Villages there are many different housing options. They have condos, houses, villas and more.

• Turn left on Ave De Las Casas
• Turn left on Mira Mar Avenue
• The Villas Of Spanish Springs will be at the end of the street on the left hand side

The Condo fee is around $360 which includes outside maintenance including landscaping and driveways.
